Darkness stalks seventeen-year-old Sam Harper. Ten years ago on Halloween night, grotesque creatures snatched her best friend Elliot and Sam narrowly escaped with her life. Now a decade on, the police investigation has ground to a halt and Elliot's whereabouts remains a mystery.

Traumatized by her ordeal, Sam finds it hard to make friends. She is mistrustful of authority and changed schools more times than she cares to remember. To her, the world is cruel and unforgiving.

Then she meets the enigmatic Lee Weaver. With his gorgeous face and magnetic presence, he turns heads wherever he goes. Sam has never wanted anyone as much as she wants Lee, but there are things about the alluring stranger that don't add up, leading Sam to ask unsettling questions about her past. Soon she discovers the boy of her dreams is keeping a terrible secret: one that threatens to destroy everything Sam holds dear ...

Super Dark is a seductive love story that will keep you guessing right until the final page ...

Hey guys, I have some exciting news! Super Dark 2 is released on Amazon today and Super Dark 3 should be out in the near future. I've had a wonderful time writing it but I ended up with so much additional material I have decided to release two versions of Super Dark 3 - a regular version and a super sexy extended and uncut version that includes a bonus chapter from Elliot's POV! I have also had the privilege to work with a fantastic cover designer who has created a special limited edition ebook jacket (see above). BTW, the extended and uncut version is a little more *ahem* adult than the regular version and is not recommended for readers below the age of 16.

Oh, and for those of you on other e-reader devices, all of the books will be released at other online retailers from the 15th April onwards. As always, if you have enjoyed my work I would be delighted if you could write a review on Amazon, Goodreads etc as I LOVE getting feedback.

Have a wonderful week!

Love and best wishes

Daddy I've Fallen For a Monster ...

Someone asked me if there were any songs that inspired Super Dark. Well all I can say is that this wonderful track from my fellow Londoners Stooshe has a great chorus that could have been written for Super Dark. Daddy I've fallen for a monster, somehow he's scaring me to death ... lololol!!

A conversation with Tanith Morse

What inspired you to write Super Dark?

When I was a child I loved reading fairy tales, but scratch the surface and you’ll find many of those stories are actually quite dark. Think of Snow White, Red Riding Hood, Beauty and the Beast . . . They’re not like the sweet, sugery cartoons portrayed by Disney. In Super Dark, I wanted to explore the dark side of fairy tales in a modern setting, so I came up with what is essentially a YA thriller with paranormal elements. At the heart of the novel is an enduring love story about two kids overcoming horrendous odds to be together. Hopefully my readers will be rooting for them all the way.

What does the title "Super Dark" actually mean?

Ha! I thought you might ask that. Superdark is a slang word which means "to have dark gothic qualities." This term perfectly describes the themes explored in the novel. A lot of dark things happen to the characters. Some of them get killed, some of them do bad things and get away with it. How the heroine Sam Harper fights back from the brink is one of the key plot threads.

How long did it take you to write the novel?

Including edits, it took me about three months. I don’t usually write so fast but the story had been simmering in my mind for a while, so when I started writing it was just a case of downloading what was already in my head. Also, when I get passionate about my characters I literally write every spare second I have. That helps things to move faster too.

Super Dark ends on quite a cliff-hanger. When can we expect the sequel?

Good news. The whole trilogy is finished and ready to publish, so readers will not have to wait for too long to find out what happens. The next book Dark Retreat is scheduled for release around May so watch this space!
